ππ»ββοΈ Yeah well, that was me too! Once upon a time.
π Itβs only when I reflect on myself that I realise how much I buried my head in the sand continually telling myself lies to make myself more comfortable with the size I was.
π¨ββοΈ My background as a nurse in A&E only compounded this issue. I was surrounded by unhealthy people and, because I was treating them, I saw myself as the healthy one. I wasnβt like the sixty year old type two diabetic who had come in with chest pain. I was, surely, too young & too βmedically awareβ for it to get that bad.
β It simply didnβt register that I was 22st - ate too much & moved too little. It didnβt register that I was in a cycle of being too tired to exerciseβ¦but I was tired because I was obese.
π§ Weight loss starts in the mind. It starts with a proper realisation that you are obese, that you arenβt healthy, that you are struggling to move the way youβd like to.

Only THEN can you make the conscious decision to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

ποΈ Between the 27th of July & the 5th of August Iβll be away from clinic - finally doing what Iβve been training for months for! The Matterhorn climb!
πΈ This is a mountain that reaches a height of 4478 metres, and is actually the worldβs most photographed mountain.
πͺ Several Years ago, I was 20+ stone and never thought this would be possible! Hard work, the right nutrition & lifting HEAVY has helped get me to a stage where climbing a mountain, ridiculously, sounds like a lovely way to spend a few days!
